Take Action as a Church

We are part of a global family called the church, and our family is broken. Poverty, disease, and injustice plague so many members of our family, but there is hope! We have hope in Christ and His promises. We also know that we all have a role to play in righting the wrongs in our world. Here are ways your church can engage global poverty and Micah's Challenge to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God:

  1. PRAY: Prayer is a powerful tool of social and spiritual change. Pray for people and for systems. Check out resources to help you and your congregation pray through the Millennium Development Goals
  2. ADVOCATE: Set up a letter writing table at church or collect signatures on important legislation to help end poverty. Visit our current campaigns page to find out what issues to write about
  3. STUDY: Learn about the theological and practical foundations for fighting injustice. Explore our resources to find bible studies, book studies, and small group resources to educate and engage your church community with global poverty
  4. LOVE: Want to connect with marginalized communities around the world? Connect to Christ centered community development and relief projects around the world through the trusted organizations behind Micah Challenge. See the list of Organizations

Want to take the next step? Consider formally joining Micah Challenge USA by becoming a Micah Congregation. Read more below.
